Opening Day 2010: Your Atlanta Braves

Pitcher Derek Lowe and the Braves squad rallied a 16-5 win over the Cubs to start their season yesterday. The boys came out strong in the first two innings scoring two and six runs respectively They thentook a back seat until matching their first and second inning scores in the seventh and eighth. Offense was lead by Heyward an McCann who both had home runs. Escobar also added four RBIs and one run to the stat sheet. Chipper demonstrated a veteran role having one hit, two runs, one RBI and one stolen base.

As a loyal Braves fan through the good and the bad, here is to hoping this game was a statement that the NL East is not going to be a Philthy show this year.
